90 Day Integration Coaching

Intake

Coach participates in intake call(s). Begins to build relationship with hiring manager.

  • Identify 4-6 key stakeholders for interviews.

  • Coach learns about the business, culture, team and role expectations independent of candidates.

Interviews & Synthesis

Coach interviews stakeholders and synthesizes all inputs into a summary document which is shared with both the new leader, once hired, and their manager. Synthesis explores:

  • Success measures 

  • Key deliverables

  • Vital relationships

  • Team dynamics

  • Landmines / watch-outs

  • Cultural considerations etc.

Coaching

Coach meets with new leader to walk through the summary document and to map out a 90 day integration strategy.

  • Integration strategy is refined by new leader refines with input from mngr.

  • Coach and new leader meet regularly (1-2 times a month) for coaching sessions.

  • Adjustments to the strategy are made as conditions evolve.

Path Forward 

Near the end of the 90 days, the coach circles back to stakeholders for a second round of interviews. 

  • Coach explores progress on the leader’s integration strategy.

  • Coach synthesizes all inputs again and shares summary with the new  leader.

  • New leader and coach identify possible strategies for the next 90 days and beyond.

  • New leader shares and refines the new strategy with their manager.

Outcomes

  • Day 1 situational awareness of the role, operational criticalities, and possible pitfalls

  • More intentional connectivity with key stakeholders, including peers and team
